Chris Holkestad worked across the United States and overseas for some of the most recognizable names in business before settling in southwestern Colorado. Now, he wants to help Regents Real Estate Group clients find their way home too.

Chris, who has an MBA in international business and finance, offers an impressive resume that includes working at Gap’s head office in San Francisco, Ralph Lauren Europe in London, Levis Europe in Brussels, Accenture in Chicago and Dallas, Amazon in Seattle and Osprey in Cortez, as well as running a theme park in Norway. Chris notes that his long career “has focused a lot on style, customers and finance and I know that real estate is the next evolution for my career. I look forward to working closely with people to ensure we find them the perfect property or sell one that they have loved, but found that it is time to move on.”

Chris knows his community well too. He is currently the mayor of Dolores and serves on Dolores Town Council. “My favorite thing about my community is that we have a lot of different types of people, but everyone is very neighborly and friendly. I love that we have the ‘old guard’ who have been here for generations, as well as the influx of new energy from the outside. Dolores is always evolving.”

Chris adds that since moving back to the area eight years ago, he has volunteered for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and has fostered a child. He also spends a lot of time outdoors. “I am like most people in southwestern Colorado and take advantage of the beauty and variety we have. I love skiing, mountain biking, hiking or being on the water. This area is amazing for exploring.”

Now, as he settles into his new role, Chris explains that he joined Regents because of the respect he has for owner/broker Paul Adams and “the business he has built. I appreciate his attitude and customer focus.”

And Chris’s own philosophy? “I really enjoy making people happy, so I look forward to providing excellent service to those looking to make a huge, stressful life-change. I want to see satisfaction and smiles on their faces at the end of the process.”
